This Privacy Policy explains how FastTrader LLC ("FastTrader," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use the FastTrader website, account portal, desktop application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

the FastTrader website, including fasttrader.io and related pages;
account creation, login, contact, and support workflows;
the FastTrader desktop application;
billing, entitlement, update, and feedback workflows connected to the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited information we receive from service providers that support the Services.

Information you provide directly

Account information, such as your email address and authentication-related information used to create and access your FastTrader account.
Contact and support information, such as your name, email address, and the content of messages you send through our contact form or other support channels.
Feedback information, such as bug reports, feature requests, app version, operating system, and any notes or descriptions you submit through the desktop app or other support workflows.

Information generated through your use of the Services

Session and authentication data, such as session cookies, access tokens, refresh events, and account identifiers used to keep you signed in and secure the Services.
Entitlement and versioning data, such as subscription status, beta-access state, the time of the latest entitlement check, app version checks, and related access-control records.
Technical and usage information typically made available by browsers, devices, servers, and hosting infrastructure, such as IP address, browser type, device information, request metadata, and timestamps.

Information we receive from third parties

Billing and subscription information from Lemon Squeezy, including subscription IDs, order IDs, product or variant IDs, customer IDs, status, renewal or expiration dates, test-mode indicators, and webhook metadata. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
Authentication and identity information processed through Supabase in connection with account creation, login, session management, and password recovery.

Sensitive information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government-issued identifiers, financial account credentials for your brokerage account, health data, biometric data, or precise geolocation data.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate and improve the Services, including to:

create and manage FastTrader accounts;
authenticate users, maintain sessions, and secure the Services;
manage beta access grants;
process billing-related workflows and sync subscription state;
determine whether a user has access to the desktop application or paid features;
deliver customer support, respond to messages, and communicate about accounts or service issues;
receive, review, and respond to bug reports and feature requests;
provide update notifications, version checks, release information, and download links;
monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability, security, and performance of the Services;
comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and other policies.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a legal basis for processing, we generally rely on one or more of the following:

performance of a contract, including providing the Services you request;
legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, and improving the Services;
consent, where you voluntarily submit information or where consent is required by law;
compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, including authentication and session cookies, to keep you signed in, protect accounts, remember session state, and support essential website functionality. Our hosting providers and service providers may also collect standard technical request information such as IP address, browser details, and request timestamps.

6. How We Share Information

We may share personal information with service providers and processors that help us operate the Services, including:

Supabase, for authentication, session handling, and database infrastructure;
Lemon Squeezy, for checkout, billing, subscriptions, and customer billing records;
Resend, for transactional emails such as contact-form messages;
Hosting and infrastructure providers, including providers used to host and deliver the website, APIs, and related services;
Professional advisors or authorities, if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to lawful requests;
Successors or transaction counterparties, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, or similar business transaction.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for third-party behavioral advertising.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to maintain accounts, provide the Services, administer beta access, preserve billing and entitlement records, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, our operational needs, legal requirements, and whether the information is needed for security, audit, or recordkeeping purposes.

8. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your jurisdiction.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about how we process your data, as well as the right to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

12. Third-Party Services and External Platforms

FastTrader works with third-party platforms and providers, including Interactive Brokers, Supabase, Lemon Squeezy, and Resend. This Privacy Policy covers FastTrader's handling of personal information. Third-party platforms and providers may have their own privacy practices and policies, and you should review them separately where relevant.

FastTrader does not request or store your Interactive Brokers account password. You log into Trader Workstation or IB Gateway separately, and FastTrader connects through the API exposed by those applications.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date at the top of this page, post a notice on the Services, or provide other notice as appropriate.
